We ran out of Capri Suns yesterday (gasp!)...so I grabbed as many coupons as I could find to give me overage at Walmart and my $1/3 Capri Suns peelies and headed out to Walmart. I was able to price match the Capri Suns to Randalls for $0.99. Woo-hoo!! I ended up only getting 12 because I couldn't find enough of the products to go with my overage coupons and I'm trying to keep my budget as tight as possible. Here's the breakdown of what I got:
12 - Capri Suns (reg. $1.97) PM Randalls - $0.99
(only 11 scanned - see note below)
11 - Frigo string cheese singles - $0.33
3 - Old Spice body wash travel size - $0.97
5 - Breathe Right strips, 2 count - $0.97
7 - Crave cat treats - $1.47
1 - 20 oz Dr Pepper (I was thirsty....lol) - $1.48
Total: $35.04 (before q's and tax) (would've been $46.80 if I hadn't PM the Capri Suns)
Coupons used:
3 - $1/3 Capri Suns - the 4th one wouldn't scan - boo :(
11 - $0.50/1 Any Frigo package
3 - $1/1 Old Spice body wash
5 - $1.50/1 Breathe Right 12 count or smaller
7 - Free Crave Cat treats
Total subtotal after coupons: $4.76
Total OOP = $5.53 :)
90% savings!
So, I just figured out why my 4th Capri Sun coupon wouldn't work....she only scanned 11 of my Capri Suns...so I guess it worked out evenly in the end. lol
Hopefully I can hit up another Walmart tonight and find some more of the overage items and pick up some more Capri Suns for cheap!
Join me on my adventures as I attempt to save my family money with coupons!

Target and Walmart yesterday
Yesterday at lunch a fellow couponer and co-worker ran to another Target in search of the $.02 tea, but alas, there was no tea to be found. :( Don't be sad though, we scored a few good deals while there.

2 - Clorox 2 stain fighter spray - $1.75 on sale ($2.49 regular price)
1 - Clorox 2 stain fighter pen - $1.75 on sale ($2.79 regular price)
2 - Maybelline lip gloss - $4.78 on sale (regularly in the $6 range - can't remember now)
2 - Neutrogena cleanser wipes - $1.99 regular price
Coupons used:
3 - $1.50/1 Clorox 2
2 - $2 Maybelline TARGET coupons
2 - $2/1 Maybelline 9/11 RP
2 - $1/1 Neutrogena TARGET coupons
2 - $1/1 Neutrogena 8/28 SS
Did two transactions because you can only use one like Target coupon per transaction, so I paid 1.97 for one transaction and 2.40 for the other...not too shabby for products with a total retail of over $30 combined. :)
Then, we hit a Walmart on the way back to the office to see if we could score any of the Nivea lip balms before the Randalls ad ended. We found 10! :) We priced matched them to Randalls for $1, and I also bought my All You magazine (face price $2.39).
10 - Nivea Lip Balms - $1/each (PM Randalls)
1 - All You magazine - $1.49 (on sale I guess - woo hoo)
Coupons used:
2 - $3/2 Nivea 10/2 RP
6 - $1/1 Nivea 10/2 RP
Paid $0.53 out of pocket! :)

More Cocoa Krispies!
Originally published June 17, 2011.
2 toliet bowl cleaners ($3.00 on sale)
2 cleanser with bleach ($3.00 on sale)
3 air freshners ($1.00 on sale)
I used 2 - Buy one toliet cleaner, get one cream cleanser free and
1 - Buy 2 get 1 free on the air freshners
Total before coupons: $15
Total after coupons above: $8
I also used 4 Register Rewards(RR) from previous trips totaling $7.99
So total out of pocket was $.01. I also received a $4 RR. :)
So, I returned to Randalls today to get another 10 boxes of Cocoa Krispies, 2 more pasta sauces and 2 more coffees because I found more coupons for the latter two items. :) I paid $22.01 out of pocket and now have 10 more UPCs for another mail in rebate (you can do 5 per household until the end of December) and another 10 Cars 2 codes to get the $5 gas cards. Also, I failed to mention yesterday that when you buy 5 Kelloggs cereals in one transaction you get a voucher for a free movie ticket (up to $12 value!). So, I have 4 free movie ticket vouchers, 2 $10 gas card mail in rebates, and $25 worth of $5 gas cards (its takes up to 90 days to get the gas cards, but I'm okay with the wait, because I always forget they are coming so its like Christmas in my mail box when they get here. lol). So the grand total over both days for just the cereal was $41.80. The total for all the gas cards and movie tickets I'll be receiving is $93! So, basically I made $51.20 worth of stuff! :) I'm loving it!
I also made a quick stop into Walgreens today and picked up some Soft Scrub cleaners and Renuzit air freshners (the kids LOVE these in their rooms - and need them too. lol).
The deal worked like this:2 toliet bowl cleaners ($3.00 on sale)
2 cleanser with bleach ($3.00 on sale)
3 air freshners ($1.00 on sale)
I used 2 - Buy one toliet cleaner, get one cream cleanser free and
1 - Buy 2 get 1 free on the air freshners

Results from Randalls shopping trip

This was all bought at Randall's. The first transaction went a little better than the second, because I forgot to scan my Randalls card first so I was able to get extra savings! :) Combining the two transactions, I spent $26.55 out of pocket for 10 boxes of Cocoa Krispies, 3 Classico Pasta Sauces, 3 Classico Alfredo sauces, and 6 Seattle's Best Iced Mocha coffee singles! Total retail - $62.98...a 58% savings. Not too shabby, but I'm not done yet. Each box of cereal has a code inside to input into a website to get $5 pre-paid debit cards. Each card requires 4 codes, so I have enough for two right now, which equals $10. I also have a mail in rebate for a $10 pre-paid debit card, which requires 10 upcs from the cocoa krispies. So I will be getting $20 worth of pre-paid debit cards!! Wa-hoo! So, if you subtract the $20 pre-paid debit cards from my total out of pocket, its $6.55! :) Hooray for coupons!!

Couponing!!
Originally published on June 16, 2011
I have been couponing for a few weeks now, and I am saving tons of money and starting to stockpile things for the family. I'm not going to fill my whole garage with things, but getting things for dirt cheap (or free!) is awesome!! It is time-consuming, and I think it annoys Paul sometimes that I spend a lot of time cutting and organizing my coupons and getting the match-ups together, but its worth it in the end. lol. Today I plan on hitting up Randalls to get some cereal (20 boxes), plus some free movie tickets and rebate codes for free gas cards. :) Plus I have a mail in rebate form to save even more money!! Wa-hoo! I saw the cereal was on sale and before I had a chance to work out a deal my friend Brooke had emailed me one she had found. So excited!! So thanks Brooke for taking the work out of this deal for me. lol!
My only problem is that I put all the Gatorade I got Tuesday up on the cereal shelf because it was empty. lol Gonna have to re-think that...I'll post pictures later and the whole run down of the deal and how it worked for me. :)
God bless! <3
